Within the framework of the ERASMUS+ Project NANO-THINK – Teaching critical thinking in science through nanolearning and virtual exchange principles, we are pleased to announce a series of three free training sessions dedicated to advancing critical thinking in science and education.
The NANO-THINK project aims to create and design a specialized programme that fosters the development of critical thinking by leveraging the principles of nano-learning for professors and students. In line with this objective, the upcoming training series introduces an innovative approach that combines critical thinking with nano- and micro-learning strategies, delivering content in concise and structured units aligned with contemporary learning habits.
The first training, Critical Thinking and Nano Learning: A Framework for Scientific Research and Beyond, will take place on 26–27 February 2026 at the Nikola Tesla Institute of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, Serbia, with the possibility to participate online. This session will provide hands-on experience with modern tools for course design, interactive learning principles, and the integration of critical thinking into everyday teaching and research practices. The number of on-site participants is limited to 30 on a first-come, first-served basis, while online participation is unlimited.
The second training, Designing Effective Lessons in the Nano-Learning Context to Encourage Critical Thinking, will be held online on 26–27 March 2026. This session focuses on the development of effective lessons using nano- and micro-learning strategies to encourage inquiry-based and student-centered learning.
The third training, Effective Presentation of Research Results Using Critical Thinking Principles, will take place online on 16–17 April 2026. Participants will explore methods for presenting research results effectively by applying core critical thinking principles in scientific communication.
Critical thinking is widely recognized as a key competence in modern science and education. It enables learners to analyze evidence, formulate hypotheses, question assumptions and authorities, and make informed decisions in an increasingly digitalized environment characterized by rapid information flow and evolving learning behaviors.
By integrating nano-learning strategies with critical thinking principles, the NANO-THINK training series complements existing curricula and contributes to more flexible, inquiry-based and student-centered educational practices.
Participation in all three trainings is free of charge. The detailed programme is available at:
